I mean unless you are a paid blogger who gets paid more the higher his PR is, what good is it?

Sire's last blog post..No BS At Blog Classified Ads

Re: Traffic Is B.S. - Influence & Attention Are Far More Important

I picked EGO (I am in Latin) as my blog name for a specific reason. I am building my own brand and it will be founded on loyal readers and fellow friends of the blogosphere, not by huge traffic. My personal blog is extreme and fundamental at the same time, so I will never get the attention of mainstream media or the common internet user.

I look forward to your development of ScratchBack!

All the Best,

Martin Lindeskog - American in Spirit.
Gothenburg, Sweden.

Re: Traffic Is B.S. - Influence & Attention Are Far More Important

You really hit the nail on the head with me. When I was at Blog World Expo, I was very interested in tracking or building your reputation in the blogosphere than in say payperpost or using online communities to drive traffic. BTW nice session you had about "finding your voice" in podcasting/blogging.

Re: Traffic Is B.S. - Influence & Attention Are Far More Important

Jim the majority of the money I have made has come from off line sales or at least off line pre-selling, developing niches for others. Seemingly there are thousands of posts sharing their secrets of boosting traffic. When do you make money? the answer is when you want to, when you pursue it , chase it and make it happen. I have created a buzz in my circle of influence and it has paid off for me.
