I believe people are interested in issues more today than ever.  The popularity of political, environmental and military blogs shows an unprecedented interest in the issues.  Today there's so much more to news than the "vapid" main stream media.  Jim, you're blind to say how we all are 'bored and uninterested' in real issues.  I believe you when you say that the above applies to you and all you know, but thank God you're dead wrong about it applying to everyone.
