Jim Kukral: Creativity & Ideas Come Best When You Shut Down Your Brain

Jim...I agree. I come up with a lot while I'm driving. I do a lot of traveling.

Whenever I get stuck, I either take a walk or go to the bathroom! It works to free up those creative "juices!"

It's true. Great entrepreneurs and inventors such as Leonardo DaVinci, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Edison experienced many of their most stellar breakthroughs while relaxing or dreaming!

My own experience confirms this as well. Many of my best ideas occur while driving, walking or resting.

This concept also supports a widely-taught component of goal setting, whereas you review your goals before going to bed and again upon awakening. The idea is for your brain to subconciously go to work while you conciously "chill" and stay out of the way.

    Daniel,

Ok, I'm game. Tonight before I go to bed I'm going to review my goal of having fun every day. :0
