Jim Kukral: Affiliate Marketing & Blogging Disclosure Test, Your Help Needed

  • Scott Jangro · 2 years ago
What are you trying to test, Jim? I mean, are you considering your sample?

First, I'm a marketer. I know better than the average person what an affiliate link is.
    Second, I know you.

I'm guessing that your test sample will be at least partially skewed toward people like me.

So, are you looking to understand what marketers who know Jim Kukral would do?

Do you want me to pretend I don't know you when I answer that question? See what I'm getting at?

Link #2 - dunno why, but I'd click there if someone offers such options on their webpage/blog post (I didn't click because I am not signing up yet).

    link #1 - on a random site
link #2 - on your blog

LOL @ Mark. Jim has an interesting point though - if he is talking about all sites/blogs, not just his blog. would disclosing that a link is an affiliate link help or repel visitors from clicking?

Well, this is the first time I visit your website, so I don't really "know" you, but I would still click the second link. If for no other reason than just to reward you for the full disclosure.
